Marina Del Rey Project

The Marina del Rey Beautification Project was derived from the need to restore structure, cleanliness, and civic identity along the primary entry corridor beginning at the 90 Freeway exit and extending through the commercial stretch near Ralphs on Lincoln Boulevard toward the 76 gas station.

The area currently lacks a defined Marina entrance marker, cohesive landscaping, and consistent waste management infrastructure. Visible trash accumulation, limited greenery, and underutilized public space have contributed to a decline in visual appeal and community presentation.

In response, American Society initiated this project to implement direct, tangible improvements. The scope includes organized trash removal, installation of durable trash and recycling receptacles, placement of commercial-grade concrete and clay planters, structured landscaping enhancements, and installation of a permanent Marina entrance sign. These additions are designed to elevate the corridor’s appearance, create a more orderly environment, and reinforce community pride.

The project is focused solely on Marina del Rey and aims to complete improvements by May 2026 with continued community and agency coordination.

Venice Project Summer 2026

The Venice Project was derived from increasing concerns regarding unregulated food vendors, sidewalk congestion, waste accumulation, and homeless encampments surrounding key commercial corridors and high foot-traffic areas.

Local businesses, residents, and visitors have experienced reduced accessibility, sanitation challenges, and public safety concerns due to overcrowded sidewalks and unmanaged street activity. The concentration of informal vending operations and encampments near storefronts has created operational strain on prime commercial spaces and diminished the overall pedestrian experience.

In response, American Society developed a focused initiative to support coordinated cleanup efforts, improve waste management, introduce structured landscaping elements such as durable commercial planters, and work in alignment with local authorities to ensure safe, lawful, and orderly use of public space.

The objective is not displacement without structure, but restoration of accessibility, sanitation, and safety standards within Venice’s commercial zones. By improving environmental design, increasing trash removal, and reinforcing regulated public space usage, the project aims to protect businesses, pedestrians, and the long-term vitality of the area.

Completion timelines will be coordinated in partnership with city agencies and community stakeholders.
